Anna Cannavo
Growing up in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Anna Cannavo began her professional dance journey early, performing as a Munchkin in the National Tour of The Wizard of Oz at age eight. She continued her training as an apprentice with Mariposa, a pre-professional company specializing in Afro-modern dance. Throughout high school, Anna competed extensively across the tri-state area, earning scholarships to summer intensives, national events, and universities. While studying at Point Park University, she performed in works by the conservatory’s renowned faculty and guest choreographers, including a tap piece by Maud Arnold, which deepened her love for tap performance.
A recent graduate with B.A. degrees in Dance and Elementary Education, Anna is a dedicated artist, educator, and leader. She has begun choreographing through the Choreography Collective and for competitive studios in Pennsylvania. Holding certifications as an ACE Group Fitness Instructor and in Youth Mental Health First Aid, Anna balances teaching, ongoing training, and auditions while continuing to grow as a performer and mentor.
