Ashaand Simone

Ashaand (he/they) is a multidisciplinary movement artist whose work bridges concert dance, commercial performance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. They have performed with a wide range of acclaimed companies and creators, including Brian Sanders’ JUNK, Visceral Dance Chicago, Caroline Calouche & Co, RWS Global, The Seldoms, Mandala South Asian Performing Arts, Silk Road Cultural Center, and Charlottesville Opera. Their collaborative work spans notable artists such as Nick Cave, Jonathan E. Alsberry, Ashwaty Chennat, and Joel Hall Dancers, among many others.

Ashaand’s performance career reflects a commitment to both innovation and cultural dialogue, with appearances across theater, opera, contemporary dance, and immersive performance platforms. Their work has been recognized in publications including Art Intercepts and Dance Business Weekly, and they were named a finalist for the Chicago Reader’s Best of Chicago: Best Dancer.
