
Emilyann Dustman
Emilyann Dustman (she/her) is a dance artist, educator, choreographer, and outreach facilitator whose work is grounded in collaboration, community engagement, and artistic excellence. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance from The University of Akron, where she developed her artistic practice through performance, choreography, and research-based training.
During her collegiate career, Emilyann participated in multiple NCC Akron residencies with nationally recognized artists and companies, including Gibney, Christopher K. Morgan, Helanius J. Wilkins, Cara Hagan, and John Heginbotham. She was also awarded a scholarship to attend GroundWorks DanceTheater’s Winter Intensive and performed in Spurious, a work mentored by Stephen Petronio and choreographed by Jessica Bennett.
Professionally, Emilyann joined Cleveland Dance Company in 2022 as a company member, choreographer, and outreach facilitator. Her performance career has continued to expand through professional contracts with The Movement Project and Dancing Wheels Company, where she currently performs and tours nationally. Through her work, she has collaborated with acclaimed choreographers including Glauco Araujo, Catherine Meredith, Bobby Wesner, and Amy Hall, while also participating in extensive arts outreach and community programming across the country.
As an educator and adjudicator, Emilyann is passionate about empowering dancers through constructive feedback, technical growth, and artistic exploration. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes confidence, creativity, and individuality, encouraging dancers to develop both strong technique and authentic artistry.
