
Erin Walsh
Erin (she/her) is a Chicago-based performer, choreographer, and educator with a strong foundation in both concert and commercial dance. She began training at a young age and developed a versatile background in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, and pointe, along with extensive competitive experience.
Erin holds a BFA in Dance and a certificate in Design Strategy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. During her collegiate career, she performed in faculty and guest artist works, adjudicated conference settings, and presented her own choreographic work. Her performance experience includes both repertory and research-based works, demonstrating a commitment to artistic inquiry and performance excellence.
As a choreographer, Erin has created both solo and group works for adjudicated student concerts, showcasing her ability to craft thoughtful, dynamic pieces that reflect strong musicality, technique, and conceptual clarity. Her commercial performance experience includes appearances in exhibition-based works in major markets such as Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Erin has been teaching since 2019, working with dancers of various ages and levels. Her teaching and choreographic approach emphasizes technical precision, artistry, and individual growth, with a focus on building well-rounded, versatile performers. She brings experience as both an instructor and choreographer in multiple training environments, prioritizing high-quality education and performance readiness.
In addition to her teaching and choreographic work, Erin has continued to develop as a professional performer through company-based training and performance opportunities, and she is currently an active company member performing in the Chicagoland area.
With a well-rounded background in performance, choreography, and education, Erin brings a thoughtful, informed perspective to adjudication. She is committed to providing constructive, insightful feedback that supports dancers’ technical development, artistic growth, and confidence.
