
James McQueen
James McQueen is a dancer and choreographer originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA). Since graduating, James has focused on setting and achieving ambitious artistic goals, building a dynamic career as both a performer and creator.
His performance credits include Lula Washington Dance Theatre, JazzAntiqua, Kourman Kele African Dance and Drum Company, and BrockusRED. James has also traveled internationally to Kenya, where he taught dance and performed with Impact Dance Company. In addition to performing, he has developed a strong choreographic voice, with his work presented at numerous festivals and venues including NAACP ACT-SO (2014–2015), Highways Performance Space, DANCESCAPE, DanceSpotLA, Tri-Art Festival, SoCal Dance Invitational, Carnival of Choreographers Ball, CrayProjects P.I.N.S., Short & Sweet Dance, LA Dance Fest, and HHII Dance Festival.
James has also produced his own showcases, including REFLECT, F.E.M., Love Inclinations, and CatCall!, continuing to expand his impact as a multidisciplinary artist.
