Mikaela Chavis
Mikaela Chavis (She/Her) is a dedicated dance performer, choreographer, stage manager, and educator based in New York City, originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. She began dancing at the age of six, training and competing with Dance Productions and Havilah Dance Company. Her passion for the arts led her to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Arts from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Since graduating, Mikaela has received multiple awards for her original dance film Vantage and continues to inspire young dancers as a teacher and mentor. She has worked professionally as an assistant choreographer, performer, and stage manager in New York City’s vibrant performing arts scene, and her performance work has been featured in Time Out magazine. Mikaela has performed pieces by renowned choreographers such as Clarice Young, Sean Bankhead, Jason Janas, and others, and recently appeared on stage with international pop artist Jade Thirlwall.
Mikaela is passionate about encouraging creativity, confidence, and joy through dance and is proud to support the next generation of performers.
