Miquela White

Miquela is originally from Brick, New Jersey, where she began dancing at the age of three. As a competitive dancer, she attended numerous conventions and developed a strong foundation in technique, ballet, jazz, and tap, with additional training in lyrical, contemporary, modern, musical theatre, hip hop, and cultural styles including flamenco, hula, and capoeira. She has studied with respected organizations such as Steps on Broadway, NYCDA, and Broadway Dance Center. Miquela has performed in multiple productions of The Nutcracker and participated in dance residencies, guest teaching opportunities, musicals, and choreography projects at public and performing arts schools throughout New Jersey. She is a graduate of the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy, where she studied dance with a focus on kinesiology and dance history, while also training in voice and acting. Miquela is currently the Head Instructor at Dance Expressions Barnegat, overseeing competition choreography and directing jazz, ballet, pointe, and tap programs. She is passionate about continuing to share her knowledge through teaching and adjudicating.
