Ryan Blackson

Ryan Blackson is a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator originally from Wilmington, Delaware. He began his dance training in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary/lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Ryan moved to New York City and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in Jazz from Marymount Manhattan College, training with industry professionals including Al Blackstone, Sheila Barker, Lorna Ventura, and Jason Wise. His performance credits include touring with Chicago: The Musical on its 25th Anniversary Tour, Broadway Christmas Wonderland, Step One Dance Company (Dance Captain/Soloist), Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and numerous regional productions such as Cats, A Chorus Line, and La Cage aux Folles. As a choreographer and master teacher, Ryan works nationally and internationally, including headlining master classes in Brazil. He is passionate about preparing dancers with strong technique, artistry, and audition-ready skills while inspiring them to build lasting careers doing what they love.
