
Tristan Walsh
Tristan Walsh (he/him) is a New York–based dance performer, choreographer, and educator originally from North Carolina. He began his formal dance training at age sixteen and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance and Choreography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in May 2023. Immediately after graduating, Tristan relocated to New York City, joining the Sonia Plumb Dance Company for their summer performance tour across the Northeast. He is currently in his third season as a company member with the Next Stage Project. Tristan has performed works by notable choreographers including Gerri Houlihan, Janet Lily, B.J. Sullivan, George Staib, Marijke Eliasberg, Sonia Plumb, and Helen Simoneau. His training also includes site-specific performance along the Amalfi Coast in Italy through the Staib Dance Summer Intensive, as well as continued study at the b12 Summer Dance Intensive in Berlin, Germany. Most recently, Tristan completed a choreographic residency with AFFEKT Dance Company as a guest choreographer.
